The user would have the option to be notified when a contact changes his/her information. Notification options might include email, SMS and/or RSS feed.

So if i want to send out a note saying my address has changed, contacts personalizes email and sends to each individually instead of a mass email with everyone bcc'd as i currently do.

It would be useful to have a small data entry window pop up when you did certain activities (such as entering a new email address for the 1st time in the "to:" line) that would provide fields to fill in, which in turn would maintain my contact info of others.

What I'd like most is something that works with my browser so that, for example, when I want to send something to a friend from Amazon, I could start typing their name and the software would suggest the friend and then fill in all relevant fields.

Nince most webmails limit the number of names in any email to ~100 names - knowing how many names in a list becomes important but MS dosent show that info. Outlook dosen't support the link between the contact name and it's identity in the distribution list

for 3rd party programs like skype or fedex, or anything else that requires the use of the masses of contact information i have stored

and have it automatically populate a new contact information, or search for duplicate or old information. or better yet, perhaps I could forward an email (or CC nametag with the response) containing all this data and have it recognize it.

or send a scanned copy or picture of a business card. it could then be OCRd and put into my contact list

when I look through my existing cards, some look like this: 234-546-1367; some like this 234.546.1367 or this +1 (234) 546-1367 - just take all those numbers and make them look the same. same goes with addresses, I know the post office has a database of every address - there must be some way to normalize addresses that way

so if I have a friend that works at HP for example, that persons work address could auto populate XXXX - or if I type in his email ...@hp.com it could populate the company name - and so on.

i have masses of duplicated contact information in my address book. help! at least warn me when i'm about to make a duplicate entry. you should be able to compare first last name or perhaps email address and give me a ! sign or some such thing.

work contact = linkedin
personal = facebook

etc.

let me know where to find a persons twitter or facebook page, plus other information like where I met them or why I'm following them on twitter. better yet - show me their twitter and facebook feeds in their contact card!
